Color Games – PCW Tournament – March 28th

Welcome to the “Color Games 2026” !
This month’s tournaments will be held on Saturday, March 28th. 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM.
The goal of The Color Games is to create a tournament that is competitive, inclusive, and fun, while also giving our club members time to celebrate together after the matches. The theme will be Green Team vs. Gold Team, creating a friendly team rivalry across the club.
Overview of the Concept:
All club members will be invited and encouraged to participate.
Everyone who registers will be placed on one of two teams: Green or Gold.
Each team will have two co-captains.
The co-captains will select their team members by alternating picks from the list of registered players, which should add a fun and engaging element to the event.
Gold Team Captains – Jamie Delgado & Karen Schermerhorn
Green Team Captains – Bill Rosol & Vinny Murphy
Brackets and Player Levels
During registration, players will select their bracket based on the usual categories:
Men’s and Women’s Novice: 3.0 and below
Men’s and Women’s Elite (4.0 Plus)
Women’s Intermediate: 3.0 – 3.5
Women’s Advanced: 3.5 – 4.0
Men’s Intermediate: 3.0 – 3.5
Men’s Advanced: 3.5 – 4.0
The tournament committee will assign players to balance the two teams as needed.
Tournament Format
The tournament will be played in a round-robin format.
Each participant will play five games, allowing everyone plenty of court time and interaction with other players.
Medals will be given to the winning overall team Gold or Green, using the scores of all games, there will be no individual awards.
Brackets are subject to change depending on number and skill of registrants and, as usual, the club retains discretion to shift players between brackets to maintain competitive balance, and to ensure a sufficient number of players within each bracket.
Registration Timeline
Registration will open after the Pickleball Board meeting on March 10.
Registration will close on Sunday, March 22.
Cost and Refreshments
The entry fee $20 per player.
This would include tournament fee, morning snacks and a box lunch. Wine and cheese will be served after the Medal ceremony as part of a post-tournament social to celebrate our players.
Volunteers
If you are interested in helping out and volunteering for the tournament, please sign up (electronically) by selecting the Volunteer (Lunch) ticket.
Here’s wishing the best of luck to all our players; and if you are not playing, come out to join in the fun and watch some great and exciting Pickleball.
